ABOUT THE ALBUM
Saltbox’s first reaction to the screams in “I Fear God”
Miasma, released may 16th, 2025, is composed of 8 original songs written by saltbox. Recorded and mixed in the home studio of Frank Chiovaro, the album encapsulates the bands powerful and raw energy that they have been bringing to the Baltimore scene for the past year. After playing shows all throughout 2024, they decided to take a break and finally focus on recording their first album on December 7th. With inspiration drawing from bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, and Tool, each member of the band brings something special, working together in ways never before seen. After finishing the base recordings in two days, the band would continue to work on adding more to the album over the next few weeks. Frank Chiovaro really helped give the album it’s sound, taking his experience from the past and putting it towards what he believed was something special. After spending many hours perfecting the mix, the album was sent over to Wright Way Studios to be mastered. While that was being mastered, artist Corri Caffee was requested by Saltbox to create the unique and distinctive album cover. Once the album was released, a show was hosted at Morsbergers on May 16th as an album release show. Saltbox was able to draw a crowd so big that the venue sold out, showing that the album was long awaited and loved.
